So... I just scanned in a bunch of sketches. Keep in mind that the vast majority of them are drawn from photographic reference, because I don't know how to draw a lot of things. Hooray for practice!
Take a look!Collapse )

I don't have much else to say.
As of posting this, I am swamped with schoolwork. Most of it is catch-up work that I should have been keeping up with the entire quarter. So... essentially, I have an entire quarter's worth of work to do in the course of a few days. YAY.

I hope you're all doing well! =)

Tuxedo Koark [Feb. 11th, 2011|09:10 pm]

I have this horrible habit of drawing anime versions of Evan Dahm's Overside characters. The first time, I drew anime Rice Boy. The second... Well...

Tuxedo Koark

There's not much going on with me right now. Sadly, I haven't been drawing as much as I'd like. It's a shame, considering how much happier I am (in general) when I do draw! I'm getting back to it, thankfully, so I can finally get some more fan and gift art out to people. (By people, I mostly mean you, Isa. Yes, you!) I suppose I should also finish those pieces I started in October.

I'm chugging away through books right now, although I have too many checked out from the library again. Currently, I'm working on Victorian Fairy Tales, Mayan Folklore, The Emerald City of Oz, and The New How Things Work.I hope to finish at least two of these by next week.

Okay, bye!

Oh! Ah! I almost forgot! I did indeed participate in Hourly Comic Day this past February 1st! It was the first time I participated since 2007.
You can read the whole thing on my Flickr!

Dumb Dog [Jan. 27th, 2011|01:52 am]

I don't know how many of you have seen this (I guess it depends on whether you follow me elsewhere), but... I did a silly little animation earlier this month. It was as spur of the moment as you can get for an animation, I suppose.

(If embedding is not working for you, you can click here.)

Other than that, my head's been overflowing with ideas, but I haven't drawn a lot lately. I hope to be making this up by giving myself some drawing challenges to help me warm up a little, and to help me improve. Quite honestly, there's a lot that I can improve on. I want to draw more than cute animals, to be perfectly honest, but I'm not the greatest at drawing much of anything else.

Hope to see you relatively soon!

In the Forest [Nov. 10th, 2010|07:29 pm]

The "Hobbes Vs. Pooh" piece is done, but it certainly took long enough! XD

Not much is going on for me right now.
I'm trying to write ahead in my Timothy Green script so I can get back to updating (in December). A brand spanking new website is in the works, too. I really don't know when the website is going to go live, though.

I'm also working on scripts for my next webcomic, a comic based off of The Seven Ravens, and a bunch of short comic stories about a girl who lives in a magic castle.

Murky River Tour Guide [Oct. 25th, 2010|02:52 am]
Erin M.
With all that sketching and drawing I did last week, I've got my hands full with finishing some paintings this week. Rest assured, I'll still be working on the line art for other pieces (*cough*care bears versus little ponies*cough*) on top of that.

Despite the workload I've given myself, I'm really just glad to be drawing (and painting) again. =)

Go down into the depths of the cut...Collapse )

Wheeeeeee! =D

So, uh... I've been doing a lot of drawing this week. It's sort of unreal.

Tons of stuff under the cut.Collapse )

WIP Paintings, Take One [Oct. 19th, 2010|02:05 am]
Erin M.
I'm taking a digital painting class this quarter. It's my second time taking the class, but I'm taking it for fun. Here are a few WIP shots of the paintings I've done so far.
Most all of the sketches for these pieces are done using Photoshop.

Three painting progresses under the cut!Collapse )

There will be more to come later!
I hope to work on a short comic for my final this quarter, painting every panel using a combination of Photoshop (for general layout, inks, and color pallet), and Painter. The use of both programs seems to be working out for me so far. =)

Defeating Procrastination [Mar. 12th, 2010|10:30 pm]

(I am not proud of any of the proportions in this comic. Oh well.)

Sometime this past month, I decided that I would work on getting rid of my procrastination once and for all. It's been a struggle so far, but I find that it helps if I remind myself how I was productive that day. I'm very tempted to start keeping a "productivity journal", just so I can list the things I have succeeded in doing on a day-to-day basis.

I'm back to drawing! For any of you who follow my webcomic (Timothy Green), I don't have a definite date set for the comic to come back. Rest assured: I am actually working on it, just as I am working on making the new website look pretty.

Here's a little griffen. I hope it brightens your day. =)

More doodles!Collapse )
